During my very first conversation with Nico and Katy, I already knew that
I was going to love working with them. They both had plenty of ideas about how
they wanted things to go on their big day, but wanted to hear my ideas too. I felt that
we were really going to be able to collaborate with each other to make their
wedding beautiful, stress-free and memorable, and we definitely did!
When I found out they were getting married at Celestine, I spent about an
hour on my phone drooling over photos of this hidden gem in Dumbo. Boasting
views of the Manhattan Bridge and the downtown Manhattan skyline, this place is
made for taking photos; in fact the whole neighborhood is! Hunting for locations
before the wedding, I really started to get excited.

At a short distance from Celestine, the soccer fields where Katy and Nico
met playing in an amateur league would be our starting point for their first look. They hadn't planned on doing one but luckily for all of us, they were open to
suggestions and the final product blew us away. While you might not expect a soccer
field to be the most photogenic location, this is Brooklyn Bridge Park we're talking
about. Every last inch of it is impeccably landscaped and it has some of the most
famous views in NYC: the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the
Manhattan Bridge. For me it was a joy to frame their family portraits, especially with
Nicolas's family who travelled all the way from Europe to be there, against such
iconic scenery.
The most unforgettable part of the day, obviously, was the ceremony and
reception. With the support and love of family and friends, they said, "I
do," and started their new life together in the city, and really almost in the very same
park, where they met. The layout and ambiance of Celestine proved ideal for a
summer wedding in New York. There is ample indoor and outdoor space that blend
seamlessly into one another, all decorated with a timeless elegance that you have to
see in person to fully appreciate. Nico and Katy's guests enjoyed a modern
gourmet menu followed by dancing under the lights of the City of Dreams to the
sounds of Beats, Times, and Life.
